Read the Bible, pull out the bunny slippers and the hot cocoa, and try to relax.

in addition to the input from other responders, blowing bubbles helps me… coloring in a kid’s coloring book… building and flying my kites… playing with my kitty… looking through my kids’ baby pictures… “talking” to my Granny (who has not been with us for the last two decades)… she always listens and I “feel” her response… bubble baths (even for the dudes)… deep breathing exercises… getting my hair washed… getting a 10 minute chair massage… journaling…

when you figure out what helps you to de-stress, make yourself a “wellness toolkit”… a physical bag that holds your choices - like a CD that you save for such a time… a couple of herbal tea bags… a bottle of bubbles… sketch pad…

not everything will work all the time but you likely won’t need to go through all of your tricks to get you back on high ground

best of luck in your quest for peace
