I need to find a way to relax?

I have recently quit smoking the whacky tobacky, to help keep the temptation away from my brother while he deals with some legal issues, truth be told I don’t miss it, but I find myself very on edge and easily set off, I have been working out and riding my bike which has increased my strength, endurance but has not been an outlet for my frustrations, if any has increased them because riding around here, it seems none of the blue tags look or care if I’m there, any ideas on natural remedies for stress relief?

    Meditation, Im not kidding either!

Im a 28 year old bloke and I meditate every day. The stress relief is unbelievable!

    Google it.

I use Breathing meditation. Sit down in a comfortable chair in a bright room, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Every time a thought comes into your head re focus on your breathing. With every exhale let all your muscles relax.

Keep refocusing on your breathing every time a thought pops in. After a few weeks practice of 10-15 minutes a day you will suddenly realise that your mind has been empty of thought for some time as you get better. It seriously relaxes you and starts to even help your daily mood, happiness and outlook.

    Honestly it bloody works!

Masturbation. Twice a day, after morning coffee and before sleep at night.

5-HTP, L-Tryptophan, or GABA. These are all supplements you can buy online or at the grocery store, usually stores only carry 5-HTP though. Exercising really helps when dealing with stress, eating right will help even more. Find something you enjoy doing, for me - it’s watching movies. Eat more protein, meats like beef and turkey have tryptophan in them naturally, which helps in the making of serotonin. Taking long showers or even a nice, warm bath is very relaxing. They even say that scents like Jasmine, Lavender, Rose, etc…help you to relax too! Hope you find something that works, and congrats on quitting those cigarettes - I have a brother and Dad that smoke, wish they’d quit like you! Good luck!

I’ve never gotten the handle of meditation. I get bored.

You need to direct your energy into a hobby or activity. Try taking martial arts or kung fu. Take up model-building, which will help slow you down and build some patience.

Gardening is another good one. It builds serious muscles, shoveling dirt, and there’s nothing more peaceful and rewarding then growing plants.
