How can I quickly but healthily lose weight?
October 30th, 2008 | by Anthony |Garrett asked:
I’m a 17 year old High School student living in an extremely stressful home life. I continuously would gain weight because of me turning to food when in fights with my parent or when they fight. What would the healthiest and quickest way to lose weight and keep it off. I seem to be able to lose weight sometimes, and then it comes right back? Any kind of stress relief ideas as well so that I don’t turn to food? I would really like to shed the pounds by August when school starts back up, I want to look my best for my senior year. Thanks in advance!

Hi I am 16 so I know how you feel. Do you drink coffee? Because whenever I am going to cave into junk because i’m so stressed I just reach for the coffee and I allow myself sugar because coffee speeds up your metablism and the sugar just helps the coffee along. Or I get a diet soda.
I have lost tons of weight and am almost at a perfect size, so it’s just something i’d recommend trying

Try to get a lot of fruits and veggies at hand instead sugary sweets. Get some soothing music or a electric massager.
You should stay away from the coffee, sugar, soda. Water is best or maybe fruit juice.

honestly hunn, you need to stop stressing about things. I know fighting is horrible (trust me, Ive been there) but the stress is bad for your body (not just your weight).
As for loosing the pounds, go for protien bars. I swear by them. I lived of them for 2 weeks and lost 11 pounds. Also, try going to the gym or running around the block..maybe it can get you away from a fight or two.
good luck!

Try a vegetarian diet. Do you know any vegetarians who are overweight? I don’t think they exist.
In between meals if you want a snack, intead of biscuits and cheese or other high calorie foods have some fruit instead. An apple or two an orange or two or any other fruit for a snack helps to fill you up and will not fatten you up but heavy high calorie snacks will. The fruit snacks are also much healthier than the traditional snacks such as potato crisps, sandwiches loaded with cheese or meat, etc.
