It’s time for the Annual “Stella Awards”. For those unfamiliar with these awards, they are named after Stella ***, who spilled hot coffee on herself and successfully sued McDonald’s in New Mexico. You remember, she took the lid off and put the coffee between her knees while driving. Who would ever think one could get burned that way?
This years First Place Stell Award winner was Mrs Merv ****, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who purchased a 32 foot Winnebago motor home. On her first trip home, she set the cruise control on 70 mph and calmly left the drivers seat, to make herself a sandwich.
Did you hear me? She left the seat to make herself a sandwich!!!
Not surprisingly, the motor home left the freeway, crashed, and over turned. Also, not surprising, she sued Winnebago for not putting in the owner’s manuel that she couldn’t leave the drivers seat while the cruise control was set.
The Oklahoma Jury awarded her—-your setting down, right?–1,750.000 PLUS a new motorhome!!

That’s hilarious! The sad part is not that she sued and won, it’s that Winnebago had the have hired the worst attorney in history in order to lose that case.

ARE YOU SERIOUS???? Thats RIDICULOUS!! What’s wrong with these freaking court systems? And how did this idiot get a driver’s license??
If I was in the jury, that woman would be short as a mug because I’d be like JUST BECAUSE ITS ON CRUSE CONTROL DOESNT MEAN YOU CAN LEAVE THE DRIVERS SEAT! WHO WOULD BE DRIVING? IT CAN”T DRIVE ITSELF! CRUSE CONTROL IS NOT SELF DRIVING MODE. UGH, that jury was a dumb as she is.
