take it out on something(other than your spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend ect.) Eg. punching your pillow

get Herbert Benson’s book ” the relaxation response” You can learn a ton of life changing information on how to relax your mind.

For stress it is important to recognize the stress and anxiety for what it is. Ask yourself, is this thing I am worrying about really worth the worry? Will my worry change anything? Most times many things are out of our personal control. Try to recognize the things you can control.
You can control:
-your own rate of breathing.
-The food you eat and what you drink
-the amount of sunlight and exercise you get
-the amount or work and play you engage in each day
-the amount of sleep you get.
Foods like berries, pineapple, broccoli, nuts, potatoes all help control stress levels. “Junk” food does not help.
There are some good herbal teas that can help a person relax.
Make time to have a hobby and time to talk to family and friends.
If the stress is still mounting; talk to your Dr.
