Why is it that I keep hearing this noise in my ear?

I am a 22 year old female. Last year I had to see a doctor do to the fact that my jaw muscles would tighten up for about 30 seconds at a time; about ten times a day. The only thing leading up to the spasm was this noise in my ear. It is so hard to explain but it was kind of like a fluttering/bubbling noise. They doctor told me that it was stress and that I needed to take some sort of stress management. Almost immediately my symptoms went away. Now its been a little over a year and the problem is back except a little different. The ear thing is so much more uncomfortable. It is so hard to explain what it sounds like but, I describe it as sounding like a bath tub draining, packing tape and stretching. I can feel and hear it starting in my ear and then leading to my jaw. It happens every time I bend over or lay down. It also happens a lot throughout the day. The thing that concerns me most is that I had this pain in my head for about a week before this all started again. It was between my eye and my ear. With this as well it happened every time I bent over or lay down. I am debating going back to the doctor but I have no insurance and I don’t want to pay another $300 to tell my that I am too stressed. I hope that someone can give me some advise. I would really appreciate it. Oh… and all this has been going on for about three weeks this time around. THANKS!
CHERISH

Since your funds are limited you may want to look up TMJ dysfunction. It is the jaw joint in front of your ears. I assume the last doctor checked your ears and didn’t find a problem. TMJ problems occur when jaw muscles cause pressure through the joints and cause them to apply pressure on the ear canal. Treatment can be expensive. Stress can be a factor. It sounds like if you control your stress you control the muscle spasms on the jaw. Hope this helps.

This problem could be Tinnitus which you can search on web. Chiropractor or Accupunture is the right person to go to. Atleast two people around me have this problem which bothers them on and off. I suggest you do some meditation and see how you feel.
god bless you
