You need to check out being trained in Kagan Structures. It’s incredible and kids love it. Here in VA Beach they highly recommend that you become trained- so much so, that they pay for it out the wazoo! It was the best training I have ever had for any of my extended learning classes (not college level, actually for teachers). I’m pretty sure they’re nation-wide, so check them out and mention it to your administrator. Ours was gung-ho about it last year and sent 9 of us to become trained (it cost our school over $2,700+/per day of a 5-day training!!) so that he could say we were 100% trained. It’s a big deal down here.
About what it is: it’s not just games, per se, it’s organizing, it’s class building, team building, and educational game playing that’s brain-based and fun for everyone. It’s so incredible!! I really think this is what you need.
Also, as part of the training you get a free binder with everything you will need. There are even colorful step by step posters to put up in your classroom for the “games” (they call them structures) you will use the most. They have oodles of other products you can buy, but you don’t really need them. Check it out, and good luck!
