What stress-relief gifts can I get my boyfriend?

December 1st, 2009

Nicole asked:

I wanted to go real cheap, but he’s been super stressed out and it’s just getting unhealthy. I wanted to go out and buy a little box of things to pack together and leave as a present for him. I was thinking like a jump rope for physical exercise in his room or basement, a journal if he wanted to write, a stress ball and/or something he could punch.

Right now, he just punches a wall until his knuckles are all bloody. It’s upsetting. And he’s not much of a talker. He really wants to make his dad proud, but his dad is super strict. He likes playing the drums too, but he’s got carpool tunnel which makes it hurt. He likes metal genre music and fruit snacks too.

And other ideas??

Stress relief? (Assignments, work, care taking, exams.)?

November 21st, 2009

Eat My Rawr asked:

How are you meant to get rid of stress and still be able to go about your everyday life?
I have 7 exams and 7 assignments one of those assignments being a Science research project which is worth 30% of my yearly mark which determines my school certificate.
So usually for stress I just drop everything and relax, but I can’t do that this time, I don’t have the time to relax. Not only do i have my assignments and exams I also have to study for my HSC examinations and care for my brother because we are currently living without a parent. So because of that I also have to work to pay for rent, petrol, food etc.
I don’t know how to work this all out, is there anyway to get it all organised without losing marks for lateness and getting over-stressed?

November 18th, 2009

Bandit asked:

i have seen a medical Dr. he is the one who
first wanted to send me first to pain mangement then a neuro. w.c. stepped in and started sending me to the other Drs
My shoulders are in alot of pain, sometimes
i cannot even lift them. my neck hurts to turn
it. the back of my neck is swelled. Both times
when the dizziness and blackouts started
was when i was lifting weights in pt and when
I had the injection in my neck. The W.C. said
it is not related. My Family Dr. Said it is.
I had a stress test it was fine. Ekg was fine.
thanks for responding with my first question
I never thought of my heart. When my back
upper back really hurts and you can see it swelled my hearts does flutter. My family
Dr. says it is caused from the injury.

October 13th, 2009

sweetnj609 asked:

My friend showed me these yellow/orange looking pills that looked like round gummies or something. They’re for stress relief, but I forget the name. If you might know what I’m talking about, what is the name of them?

how do I decide between 2 job offers - high stress and good pay or less money for less stress?

October 8th, 2009

sandsdyer2001 asked:

I left job A because I had to relocate for family reasons. I was offered 2 positions in the new city (job B and C). Both job B and C pay much better than Job A, so both are a promotion.

However, Job C pays 30% more than Job B (both have good benefits). I chose job C because it sounded like a no brainer - take the higher pay. But I have worked at Job C for almost a month and have heard many negatives. The turnover is over 100%. The hours are long - 12 hours a day is not unusual. It’s high pressure with high expectations, and some have commented to me that the job is detrimental to their personal lives because of the hours and stress.

Job B offered me the job and because the boss is on vacation, I have time to accept it still. It pays much less but the hours would be 7.5 a day. I think job B suits my personality better and is more secure, although it is at a lower level (Job C is considered management). The content of job B is more fun, but the content of Job C will open me up to more job opportunities (although the type of work might not suit me anyway).

On paper, Job C is the better job, but the stress could affect my family / home life. Suggestions?
About the family situation, I just got married a month ago. If it weren’t for that, I’d be more willing to sacrifice home life for a while and move on, but the 1st year of marriage is pretty important!

Quick morning stress reduction?

October 7th, 2009

jaydeen asked:

My GP has diagnosed me with the following minor medical condition. In the morning before school, stress (being on time, exam stress e.g.) is harming my health - I am suffering from stomach cramping and nausea.

So far i have responded by waking up 20 mins earlier to reduce time stress, but are there any quick stress relief techniques/activities i could do before school in this time frame??

thanks
